Milan Design Week 2024
Immersing yourself in the epicenter of innovation and avant-garde, Milan Design Week 2024 is an experience that leaves a permanent impression on any creative. For the talents of Dip Architects, it was an opportunity to explore the latest trends and proposals in the world capital of design.
Our commitment to innovation / Towards the future of design
Innovation and discovery of new trends and technologies is the backbone of DIP Architects, which is why attending Milan Design Week 2024 has been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for our firm. It was a window that opened the team's vision towards new perspectives in the implementation of processes and design proposals.
Eimy Salinas, Design Associate at DIP comments: “Visiting Milan during Milan Design Week 2024 was a truly immersive experience. The city itself becomes an extension of the exhibition, and every detail - from window frames to sewers and street finishes - invites the pedestrian to explore and discover. It is as if each urban element was designed to be admired and enjoyed.”
Design Trends: Insights from the Team at Milan Design Week 2024
“Meticulous attention to hardware, finishes, assemblies and material application truly raised the bar for what is possible in our field. This experience provided me with new ideas and approaches that I can implement in our daily work at DIP Architects,” says Catalina Agredano, Design Team Leader at DIP.
Among these trends, the prominence of warm, ocher and orange colors in furniture and spaces stands out, which although initially may seem disruptive to some clients, open a panorama of possibilities in the implementation of colors and materials, providing a futuristic and sophisticated appearance to the spaces. This combination of materials offers a timeless and elegant aesthetic, highlighting its uniqueness and quality.
The synergy between the implementation of retro-style furniture, currents and various design styles reveals a vision towards innovation and experimentation. These intrinsically diverse trends provide the DIP Architects team with inspiration that nourishes the conceptualization of their future projects.
Ivan Montemayor, Experimental Design Associate of the DIP team mentions “Design Week offered me a new perspective on the integration of architectural designs with furniture, emphasizing the importance of creating a cohesive and aesthetically harmonious whole. This approach reinforces the vision and distinctive style of DIP Architects, showing me how we can incorporate elements that not only add to the company's style, but also create timeless spaces.”
A Celebration of Design and the Profession
At DIP Architects, we are committed to integrating these new ideas and learnings into our daily work, always seeking to raise the standard of quality and creativity in our projects. Milan Design Week 2024 has not only opened up new possibilities for us, but has also reaffirmed our passion for design and our purpose of creating spaces that inspire and last over time.
"Being in an environment like Milan during Milan Design Week was like participating in a celebration of design. It was incredibly inspiring to be surrounded by the creative minds who are shaping what the future will look like. This experience made me feel like I am part of an important profession , with a clear and meaningful purpose.” Montemayor added.
Eimy Salinas adds “The visit to Milan was much more than an opportunity to see new trends and technologies. It was a lesson in how design can and should be a fundamental part of our daily lives. This experience has enriched my vision and has motivated me to integrate a greater awareness of exterior design in my work at DIP Architects, always seeking to create spaces that invite you to live and enjoy them.”
As we look forward, we are excited to apply these inspirations and continue to explore new frontiers in architectural design. The experience in Milan has shown us once again that design is more than a profession; is a constant celebration of creativity, innovation and beauty. And with this vision, we are prepared to transform each idea into a masterpiece that reflects the essence of DIP Architects.
