In the southern part of Coahuila, in the Magic Town of Parras, there lies an oasis surrounded by walnut trees, historic architecture, minerals, and vineyards. In this unique setting, Dip Arquitectos conceived a residence that honors its surroundings and aims to awaken the senses. Taking advantage of the richness of the place, the design prioritized the connection between architecture and nature, resulting in an open space that offers a unique sensory experience for its residents.
With a 2,067 m² plot, the family desired the vines to be the heart of the project, establishing a symbolic connection with the environment. Thus, 850 m² were reserved for construction, leaving ample space to highlight the natural vegetation. The design, developed over two levels, includes 10 bedrooms, a central courtyard, a Zen garden, and double-height social areas such as the dining room, bar, and living room, all visible from the front facade. This recreational approach is complemented by a barbecue area, an outdoor lounge, and a game room, consolidating the residence as a perfect space for rest and family gatherings.
Reinterpreting the spirit of traditional haciendas in an authentic and personalized way is reflected in the architecture. The clients sought to recreate the romantic essence of traditional Mexican haciendas, adding a contemporary touch that balanced the classic with the modern. As a result, the layout was organized around central gardens and open areas, establishing a continuous flow from the front facade to the back patio. Designed for a family of five, the residence also has the capacity to accommodate up to 20 people, making it the ideal setting for family gatherings.
Four arches, carefully aligned with the lines of the vines on the land, became a distinctive element of the design. These arches not only create a dynamic and harmonious visual contrast but also integrate the natural surroundings with the architecture, reinforcing the relationship between interior and exterior. Sculptural elements in the Zen garden and a water channel in the central garden complete this sensory proposal, designed to connect the residents with nature. The materials chosen pay homage to the region. This combination of textures, light, and design deeply connects the residence with its natural context, making Parvada a unique retreat in the heart of Parras.
